TVTAP Trail Day June 2011

http://www.vimeo.com/25066078
Footage from TVTAP’s first Trail Work Day of the season. 60+ volunteers and Forest Service Employees helped to build almost 2 miles of new singletrack along the side of the Teton Pass Highway, creating a great new trail for bikers, runners, and dogwalkers with easy access from the city of Victor. Some pretty amusing footage in here, as well as a tour of the new trail itself!

Push America: The South Route

The South Route of the 2011 Journey of Hope team has had quite a different experience from the other two routes.   Like the North Route, we also started in San Francisco, but instead of heading east right away, we spent almost a week heading straight south along the coast till we reached the L.A. area.  The coast was absolutely gorgeous!  But as we went south, the terrain changed drastically.

Foggy Bridge | Push America: The South Route

We spent day 3 traversing the mountain pass of Big Sur, a 100+ mile day that took about 12 hours to complete.  The views from the mountain were incredible!  After a foggy morning that was reminiscent of Skull Island, we climbed above the cloud-line and could see for miles from the sides of the cliffs.   After that day, however, the land has been flat, with a few rolling hills here and there.
