New River Gorge

When word was out that the forecast had highs near 60 in Virginia/West Virginia for the first of December, I knew I had to pounce on this chance to climb at the New River Gorge.  Mountain Khakis are the go to pants for this type of weather and activity as […]

Final MK Tough Challenge Post

Sometimes when you love doing something, but your schedule is overly crowded, you have to sacrifice sleep to do that thing that fills you up. There are seasons when life comes at us with all its got and if we let it, it will take our joy and keep us from doing the things we love. I am incredibly blessed to be able to go to Baylor and get an education in a place where the professors know my name. I really enjoy my area of study, professional selling and entrepreneurship, but at the end of the day, school is work. It does not feed my soul in the same way that building and working on the homecoming float does.

MK Tough Challenge: Week 2

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you didn’t have time to do the things you love, where you to-do list grows and keeps you from working on the projects that fuel you? Last week was like that for me. Bouncing around from group meeting to meeting for school, keeping up with homework and working on finding a job as my number of days left at Baylor University shrinks, I hardly had any time to spend working on my projects for float. I was holding out for Saturday.

Clean Water, for Life.

I, like the rest you, could not wait for my latest order of Mountain Khakis. One day last week upon arriving home from class I noticed a box sitting on my doorstep. Finally! My Mountain Khakis had arrived! I ran up the stairs, ripped open the box, and started trying things on. I immediately fell in love with my new pair of Original Mountain Pants in the new Broadway Fit. It was perfect timing too, because tomorrow would be a great day to put them to the test.

Less than twenty-four hours later my new OMP’s were already wet at the ankles and smeared by muddy hands. It was the morning of a lake cleanup put on by the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks – a nonprofit organization striving to preserve and improve drinking water for Springfield and the surrounding Ozarks region. Our clean up targeted the shoreline along the beautiful Fellows Lake located just north of Springfield, MO. In just a few hours time, our dedicated group of volunteers was able to haul in bags upon bags of trash and debris.

After a morning spent walking the shoreline of Fellows Lake, I have nothing but good things to say about my new pair of OMP’s. The new Broadway fit is perfect for anyone who wants a slimmer, fitted pair of pants without sacrificing comfort and durability. The best part is, you can wear them in the field or out on the town. If you’re looking to purchase a few more pairs of pants this fall be sure to check these things out. I promise you will not be disappointed.

MK Tough Challenge: Week One

With great anticipation I ripped open the Mountain Khakis box containing the 6 pairs of pants that would be put to the test over the next 4 weeks. Original Mountain Pants, Canyon Cords and Teton Twills would all be pushed to their limit over the next 30 days as the 6 float chairs worked and lived in their pants.
