With a busy start to the month of April and three consecutive weekends of events in a row, Team BGB-MK put racing season into full gear by driving north just over the Tennessee state line to Johnson City for the first USAC sanctioned Downhill race of 2012. A single race day at ETSU which included both Downhill and Dual Slalom meant, you had better eat your Wheaties and get LOTS of rest the night before….. it’s gonna be a LOOONNNNG day!

The trip was hit with very windy (70+ mph) winds for the first few days of the scouting expedition along with very scoured snow after multiple strong rain days followed by freezing temps. Parks Canada reported multiple feet of loss snowpack. Have some interesting video of the conditions and working on putting together an edit. Yukon was the opposite story of just very snowy cold days and 1 blue bird day for a few good photos and great video. It was also great being off the grid in the Yukon and depending on solar power and fire for cooking meals, etc.
